Josh “Juku” Gold (BA, University of Toronto) is born and raised in Toronto, Canada, but holds dual Canadian-Estonian citizenship. He is a research assistant at Citizen Lab, and researches global cyberspace governance and state behaviour in cyberspace – with a current focus on Canadian cyberspace foreign policy. He is a board member of the Canadian International Council and a 2019 Visiting Fellow at The Hague Program for Cyber Norms. He is involved in the internet governance community, most recently having been selected as a 2019 ICANN NextGen participant. Josh also works as a part-time consultant for Estonian cybersecurity firm CybExer.

Josh has previously worked in threat intelligence at Cybercube, and interned at the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence, in Tallinn. Until recently he was a competitive swimmer, competing internationally. He is an avid reader and writes often, both in English and Estonian.
